Pythoncyc PToolsError

Hi there,

I am running PythonCyc on Windows 10, using Python 2.7. I have pathway tools open on my computer using the option -python. Nonetheless, I have suddenly started to get errors of the form:

'pythoncyc.PTools.PToolsError: Failed to create a connection to a running Pathway Tools at localhost on port 5008. Make sure Pathway Tools is running with option -python. Error code: 10048, error message: Only one usage of each socket address (protocol/network address/port) is normally permitted'

I am looping through a list of pathways and the error happens at a different pathway with each attempted run, but I have not managed to successfully loop through my full list since this morning. Can anyone suggest what my problem might be?

Many thanks in advance

Hi, I'm not sure what's going on here, but have you tried rebooting Windows?

Hi, I have restarted my machine and the program several times with no improvement - it seems to just break the connection to pathway tools at random intervals. I can restart the program from where it left off and finish my full loop with about four tries, but it is impossible to get through the full program without breaking and I haven't managed to figure it out yet! Thanks for your help :)

Could you post your code (not all the pathways, just the looping code)?
