I know how to highlight a list of genes from file, but I didn't find the corresponding part for compounds in both web and local version. Could you help me on do that?

We don't have a direct command to do that for compounds, however it is quite straightforward. Just upload your file of compounds to a SmartTable, and then from the SmartTable Operations menu, invoke the command to Paint Data on the Cellular Overview. This can be done from either web or desktop versions, although the command names are slightly different in each case.

Great I find the way to do it. Thanks. I didn't find the way to highlight multiple list with different color in local version but find the way to do it in web version. Besides, for the web version, if there is some compound called C10 (regrex"C\d+"), there seems to be errors saying "Package "C10" not found". Though C10 is probably a wired chemical name that can not be mapped..

By the way, Correct me if I am wrong. "There is no so called general/non-species-specific pathway in biocyc for cellular overview?"

If I understand your question correctly, you are right -- all our cellular overview diagrams are organism-specific.
