I have installed Pathway tools on two servers. Apps, pathway tool install server DBServer(Mysql Server). Mysql 5.7

After installing and connecting to pathway tools I see a message: Server has no Mysql PGDB's when I click on : Configure New DB from Mysql.

I am refering following installation guide: http://bioinformatics.ai.sri.com/ptools/installation-guide/released/mysql.html (http://bioinformatics.ai.sri.com/ptoo...)

My question is after initial install should there be some PGDB's in the Mysql DB? I ran the pgdb-schema.sql on Mysql server. It created objects but no data in tables. Is this behavior normal?

Please elaborate if there should be any PGDBs in Mysql after initial install?

Also after fresh install/setup, when creating new PGDBs will it be stored in Mysql server or needs some setup/install steps to configure that way?

Thanks for your help.

Regards

There should not be any MySQL PGDBs unless you (or someone else connected to your MySQL server) have created them using PathoLogic (either as MySQL PGDBs from the outset, or as file PGDBs that were then converted to MySQL). None of the PGDBs we supply are MySQL PGDBs -- they are either built into the distribution (and therefore cannot be edited) or are downloaded from the registry as file PGDBs.
