Hi All,

I just started researching this software so excuse me if this is obvious.

Is it possible to output these stunning and informative graphics to say, PDF, PostScript or JPEG without using the GUI? More specifically, if I'm using the lisp api to drill down on the particulars of a pathway, is there a way I could somehow appeal to the software programmatically to crank out some of the relevant graphics to a file?

It would be a snazzy trick, to say the least.

Any help is appreciated.

Short answer, yes it is possible. Long answer, it depends on which graphics you're referring to and what you mean by "GUI". Most, but not all the graphics are rendered using an X display buffer. So, although you can run "headless" without the Navigator GUI, it still depends upon there being an X11 "display" to use to render the graphics.

For the most part, if you want to know what you can programmatically generate, you can review the list of Web services:

There isn't a general answer for all the different types of graphics. If you have a specific one in mind, we can answer that question.
